Grade 1 - 6

On the first day of school, parents are invited to come with their children. There will be coffee and water available after students have gone to class for those who wish to stay and visit.

Teachers will be emailing families a day or two before the first day to let them know who their child's teacher will be. Teachers will be waiting to greet students outside. They will have signs with their names on them so they are easy to find.

Kindergarten

All Kindergarten students who will be attending school on Tuesday and Thursday, will start on Tuesday, September 2. Those who will be attending on Monday and Wednesday will start on Wednesday, September 3. The Kindergarten teachers will meet the students outside of the front doors on both days. Other staff members will be present to ensure that students end up with their correct teacher.

What to Bring

Students should bring a backpack, and indoor shoes. If they are staying for lunch, they should also bring a lunch kit with a small snack and a lunch that does not need to be heated. Water bottles are allowed but are not required.

Bussing

Buses will be running on the first day. School staff will be there to meet the students and will help them find their teacher. At the end of the day, teachers will help students find their bus. Attendance will be taken before buses leave to ensure that all students are accounted for. Please note, buses often run late when taking students home for the first few days, so do not panic if this happens. It will happen less and less as students become more familiar with their end of day routines.
