Welcome Back to the 2026-27 school year! We are so excited to see all of you and your children back.

Complexity Team

This fall, the CBE has hired hundreds of teachers, education assistants and other school staff to support student learning. These positions have been funded by the Government of Alberta with the intention of addressing classroom complexity and class sizes.

We are pleased to welcome additional new staff to our school for the 2026-27 school year:

  • Jennifer Hess: Complexity Team Teacher Carrie Wiltzen-Waterer: EA
  • Danielle Brothers: EA

As part of his learning leader duties, Mack Fraser will also be working with the complexity team.

We are very pleased to welcome these new staff members to our school community! This additional staff will help ensure students benefit from:

  • Increased teacher attention
  • Improved classroom learning environments
  • Greater support for diverse learning needs

MyCBE Forms

Each new school year, you are required to verify the information on your demographic form and complete any other forms in your MyCBE account. Please do so ASAP.

Welcome Back Picnic

This is a chance for families to visit and have some dinner. Bring your own food or purchase food from the food trucks that will be joining us. Staff may join us as well, giving you an opportunity to hang out with your child’s teacher in a fun and friendly atmosphere. We’d love to see you there!

Terry Fox Run

Our annual Terry Fox run will be held on Friday, Sept 18. Terry Fox is an important person in Canadian history. If you would like to learn more about him, please watch this short video with your family. All families are welcome to join us for the run on Sept 18. Time will be sent out closer to the date. 

Meet the Teacher

On Sept 24 and 25, you will have the opportunity to book a conference with your child’s new teacher. This will be a short meeting to discuss your child’s needs and set learning goals. Conferences will be booked online. More information to follow.
