Hello Monterey Park Families 

Happy Easter to those families that celebrate! We hope you enjoy a great long weekend with family and friends and lots of chocolate bunnies. At Monterey Park this week, students may be enjoying learning about this holiday in class. 

Our grade six students will be home from camp tomorrow. I’m sure they will have many stories about their time in the wilderness. 

Our grade two students will be presenting stories of their learning at our next school council meeting on Monday night, April 22. Please see details attached to join us if you can.

Math Games for at Home

Click the link to read about Box Cars and One Eyed Jacks - a great resource for learning games that are easy to do at home! The two games featured this week will help your child practice their basic addition, subtraction, multiplication or division facts and test their ability to make “10”. Have fun - games at home should be enjoyable - not hard work!

Volunteers

We require parent volunteers to help out with field trips throughout the last few months of the school year. Please note that you do require a valid security clearance to accompany a class on a trip. If you are able to help us out, please see Margaret in the office to get your clearance started and check in with your child’s teacher to see if they can use you. There are lots of exciting things planned for the spring. We hope you can join us.
