Hello Monterey Park Families,

Thank you to all the family members who came out to support our Division II students in their performance of We’ve Got the Beat! last week. The house was rocking, and the students were thrilled to showcase their hard work in music this term.

Today, we are spreading the love at Monterey Park School. Students are exchanging Valentine notes within their classes, helping to build kindness and connection. This also helps prepare us for Pink Shirt Day later this month—a day that reminds us all to “Sprinkle Kindness.” A link to the Pink Shirt Day website is included below if you would like to explore it together as a family.

Pink Shirt Day

Wednesday, February 25

February 25 is Pink Shirt Day. Students are invited to wear pink to school as we come together to celebrate kindness, inclusion, and respect. Let’s all remember to Sprinkle Kindness!

Ramadan Assembly

Wednesday, February 18 | 2:30 PM

We will be hosting a Ramadan Assembly on Wednesday, February 18 at 2:30 PM.
All students are invited to wear their traditional dress, should they wish, as we honour and celebrate this important Muslim tradition.

Families are warmly invited to join us for the assembly.

Lunar New Year Week

February 23–27

February 23–27 will be Lunar New Year Week at Monterey Park School. Students will work in their school buddy groups to create visual art that celebrates the beauty and meaning of this cultural tradition.

Families are welcome to join us during the week.
