Hello Monterey Park Families

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a restful break with family and friends.

Our first school council meeting of the New Year will be held on January 21 at 6pm. All parents are welcome to attend.

Music is in All of Us - our Div II concert will be on January 30. Free tickets will be available online starting on January 13. Each family can have up to 4 tickets for either the afternoon performance at 2:30pm or the evening performance at 6pm.

School Council

The next School Council meeting will be held on January 21 at 6pm. Our EES teachers will be presenting information about communication devices and task bins, and we invite all parents to come out and see what they’ve been up to. We will also be discussing important information affecting your child’s school experience, such as spending school council funds on learning resources, field trip possibilities and a parent learning night. Join us and share your voice! We enjoy hearing from you.

Lunar New Year 2025 - January 29

It’s the Year of the Snake. Find out how Monterey Park School will acknowledge this special cultural event. What is your family’s story of celebrating the Lunar New Year?

More information to follow.

Report Card Access

Follow this link to ensure your MyCBE account is up to date. You need to have this active to be able to see your child’s report card on January 27.

Dressing for the Weather

Make sure your child is dressed for the cold weather. We have many more weeks of winter and all students will be playing outside until the temperature exceeds -20°C.

Thank You

Thank you to those parents and family members that joined us for our Holiday Sing-A-Long on the last day of classes last month. It was so fun to share the spirit of the season with you and feel like one big MPS family
