Hello Monterey Park Families 

Our final FUN LUNCH will be tomorrow and it’s McDonald’s! Students are excited for this special treat. 

Kindergarten orientations are underway this week as we welcome new little people into the Monterey Park family. If you have any friends or neighbours with kinder-aged kiddos who have not yet registered - tell them to pop by! 

School Council meets tonight at 6pm. Here is the online link to join us if you cannot come in person. The Grade One’s will be sharing stories of their learning. Join us if you can! 

See information below for the Indigenous Peoples Day assembly on June 20. All families welcome. 

Stay tuned for information to follow regarding our upcoming SPIRIT WEEK the last week of school. We can’t wait to have a little extra fun.

Teachers will be providing a review of concepts learned in class. To help your student be most prepared, ensure good sleep and nutrition leading up to exams. 

All exams are written online.

Indigenous Peoples Day Assembly | June 20 at 9:30 am

All families welcome to join us for a mini pow-wow featuring Four Winds Indigenous Market and Showcase and Randy Turning- Robe. 

If the weather is nice, this event will take place outside.

Summer Send-Off | June 25

Join us after school for food trucks and family fun. This will be a family picnic-style together where you can bring your own dinner or order form the trucks and visit as we celebrate the MPS community. Times TBD. 

Campfire Sing-A-Long Assembly

We invite you to join us for a Canadian summer tradition - The Campfire! Mr. Fraser and Co. will be leading all the students in a sing-a-long. Parents and families are welcome to come and learn some all-time summer favourite tunes. The assembly will start at 11:30 am on June 26.
