Hello Monterey Park Families 

Well done parents! We filled our volunteer positions for the casino. Big thanks to those of you who signed up to help us out this coming weekend. We appreciate you! 

It was great to see all of you for parent teacher conferences on Monday. We hope you had a chance to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss any key items that will help with their learning and well-being at school. If you would like to follow up with Kelly or Michelle for any reason, please contact us. We always like hearing from you. 

Bridge Club

Registration is now finished. The fall session filled up quickly! The program will start October 8. Another session will be offered in the spring. This program will not run if the teachers are on strike. 

Cultural Survey

If you have not yet done so, please take a minute and fill out our quick Cultural Survey as we work to collect data that will help make every student feel represented and included at Monterey Park School. 

Starting last year, we have been collecting data that helps us understand our cultural story at Monterey Park School. Your voice is important as we learn more about the families that live in our community. Please complete this survey this week to help us with this work.

MyCBE Forms

There are 3 forms to be filled out in MyCBE online:

  1. Demographic Form
  2. Consent for CBE Use of Student Information
  3. Consent for Use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups 

If the Demographic Form is not filled out, your child’s funding for schooling is AT RISK.

Alberta Teachers Strike Action

Effective Monday, October 6, 2025 the Alberta Teachers Association has given notice that teachers will be out on strike. Families should have childcare arrangements made as there will be no school if there is a strike. More information will be sent to you by the CBE as it becomes available. See Labour Action on the CBE website.
