Hello Monterey Park Families
Our classroom pumpkins have arrived! Over the next couple of weeks, students will be completing learning activities related to their pumpkin and then they will be decorating them for a spooky walk in the gym on October 31. Be sure to ask them about what they have learned!
Home reading has started. Book bags will be coming home in the next couple of days, if they haven’t already. Students are excited to share their books with you. Please return the bag next week to get new books.

Diwali
We will have guest speakers and student performers at our assembly on October 30.
Those students and family members that celebrate this event are invited to wear traditional dress to school that day.
We can’t wait to hear your family’s story of Diwali and learn more about this festival of lights.
Please join us as we celebrate Diwali at Monterey Park School with an assembly on October 30 at 2:00 pm.
Parent-Teacher Conferences | Oct 24/25
Conferences will be held on the evening of Thursday, October 24 between 4:15-8:15 and Friday, October 25 between 8:00-12:00.
Booking online will begin at 11:00 am on Sunday, October 20. Go to MyCBE to access the online booking system.
This is an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and discuss their learning. Interpretation services are available for all families wishing to use them.

Halloween
Students may wear Halloween costumes to school on Oct 31 if they wish.
